Also yes. If my first E2025 account were a person born, it'd have graduated college and be living at home looking for a job right now.

BC!!!! Come back man!

I'm considering it for next set, though I dunno if I can commit to my historic levels of activity. If it's a netgain set, I can see an argument in favour. But I fly a lot these days so I can't just have an IRC window open with my country name set as a ping to wake my ass up anymore heh.

Thanks.

I was reading about it in the game wiki.

'The Global Defense Initiative (GDI) is an open organization dedicated to the protection of its members. As a member of GDI, you receive the protection of GDI forces. No country more than twice your size or less than half your size will be able to attack you without formally declaring war first. The cost of this protection requires members to pay a small fee per acre of land (see table below) they own to the GDI fund, as long as they are a member. In addition, you are not allowed to commit offensive acts against countries greater than twice your size or smaller than half your size. You cannot join the GDI unless you have not made an attack for at least 18 hours.

After the minimum membership time has passed, you may leave at any time, however, once you do, you will not be allowed to join again for 72 hours.

A permanent GDI bonus is also available, which allows 100% free membership to the initiative, however if you select this bonus, you are not allowed to leave. '

^

It's not really clear that there are differences between game modes other than the cost of GDI itself.

I notice I'm getting hit a lot by people that are *way* over twice my size; I haven't hit anybody, I haven't been declared war on. I was reading what GDI does and it doesn't seem to work at all.

My whole opinion on this is rather simple:

When #222 wasn't following the CF, nobody in LaF was clamoring for #222 to stop.

Now that RAGE is fighting him back, there's all sorts of crying about it. That's just what it looks like from here anyway. Double standards are kind of a fluff.

Screw the clan structure. Everybody has their head so far up each others' asses that it all smells like sh*t.

So obsessed with saving face, looking good, not stepping on toes.

Simply quit the alliance you are in, and join the laf-hater group. Then politics are easy and you aren't left smelling like a turd.

Under is clearly superior.

If you have a cat or something that claws from the front they unroll the whole damn thing onto the floor and make a mess. Under, it flips back and does nothing but annoy the cat.

I consider that to be a dual victory.

no - danger and rage exchanged some grabs... danger killed a rage country - rage killed danger...
to be the same situation laf and rage exchanges grabs... rage kills a laf country... laf kills rage - that would be the same.

Zip, Danger killed Rage country for not following danger's policy.

Honestly, we should go back to the basics. Every clan have the same policy. No land for land unless you hit an ally by mistake, no top feeding, no double taps on established clans. 1:1 retals 2:3, 3:5 4:death. Your land fat and grabbed more than what you get back, that's ur problem. Its a war game. Should not be this many politics. Should be pretty basic for a simplistic game like this.

this we can agree on 100%

and yes danger killed a rage country for not following danger police - did rage not follow laf policy?

No, They went on vacation instead of being landfarmed and tagkilled. I'd say that was against LaF policy :P

The best part about stats are if you take the stats that make your own point, someone else can take the same stats and make theirs. Watch me do the same thing:

My point is simple, there are fewer players "today" than there were on this day in 2012. And I expect that trend to continue, and in fact accelerate if some alliances just decide to call it quits and disband, there will be a few guys who re-locate but others will just bail altogether. Going back to 2010 is all well and good, but it isn't 2010 anymore. Past performance does not indicate future results, etc. What is alarming is the acceleration of the player numbers decay in the past year.

I look at it as being akin to wanting to be the champion of a manure pile. Sure you're the champion, but you're still standing in s**t.

DEAR CHUCK DANGER.

I AM SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE EXPLOSION. WE MUST ALL BE VIGILANT IN FUTURE DOUGH CREATION EXERCISES AS THEY ALL HAVE A CHANCE TO GO THIS AWRY.

I HAVE NO METHOD OF GIVING A MOMENT OF SILENCE FOR THE CRUMBS IN CAPS OTHER THAN *MOMENT OF SILENCE* - SO WITH THAT PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS IN THE FUTURE. WAS IT DOUGH FOR PIZZA? THAT WOULD BE A TRAVESTY.

The difference was that RAGE hit DANGER last reset due to DANGER killing a RAGE member over landgrabs.

If RAGE killed a LaFer the situation would be similar. Instead LaF stops getting a free landfarm and decides to kill an alliance. That's what I see here.

It's unfortunate. I don't like it at all. Running players away for short term gains is a stupid idea for game survivability. Unless their goal IS to kill the game to free themselves from playing it...
