and I was pointing out he has higher production, which I think we are agreed upon now?

Not agreed.

94000 farms x 5.3 x 2.25 x $35 PM price / $262 PM average is 149k NW a turn.

75000 indies x 1.86 x 1.56 x 1.35 x 0.6 is 176k NW a turn.

Not taking into account taxes, expenses, or commission of course, but the indy has the advantage, even with higher NW and maybe slightly higher expenses as his NW rises.

Based on when the 94k farmer stopped grabbing (and that he grabbed almost 3k a day for over 20 days), I believe he has another 1m tech points to buy and is no shape to start stocking yet, so I actually think I might revise my t5 estimate to look like this now:

1. Awesome 2013
2. Quarantine
3. Keep Calm And Press Cash
4. Vengeful Spirit
5. AustAgder

Poor Quarantine, everyone's second. BTW, I must be underestimating Awesome 2013's finish, but he just didn't seem to have enough time with bushels over 60.

But (as I said earlier) the farmer isn't converting his bushels into cash and more importantly the indy isn't converting his jets into cash (and I'd say the 10% commission there is fairly crucial if he was).

And when did the analysis change to $140 jets? I thought you told Rob we could consider jets at $130 and the indy made more.

Xinhuan Game profile

I raised it to $140 because last 24 hours average is $135, and the average will rise to $170 by the end of the set, so giving it a $140 average is already underestimating his production power.

But I've removed the military price, and just updated my post to calculate NW per turn instead.

BobbyATA Game profile

Xin, how much in future expenses do you estimate those jets will cost?

It would be
.14*Jets Produced* Turns Left* Military Tech * (1-Expenses Bonus) * (1+ AVG NW/40M)

JP is roughly 290k
Mil Tech let's say .9
Expense bonus .4
AVG NW 80M
Turns Left 400?

Tell me where you disagree.

So that is roughly 26M in expenses the rest of the set. At $140 jet, that is a whopping 170k jets that must be sold to cover that expense, so in reality the indy is making roughly 120k jets/turn. Hmmm I feel like one of my numbers is off actually, could you please tell me where, serious request.

ah I see how my numbers are off. They aren't off (well they could be), but the jets I sell shouldn't count to future expenses. So the indy produces 290k jets. We want to sell 290k-X of those jets so that the expenses of the X jets left over are covered.

So we want to solve

140*(290000-X)= X*.14*400*.9*(1-.4)*3

There I get X to be 175k. So then it is like the indy produces 175k jets a turn which is 105k NW/turn. If this analysis is correct (highly unlikely and for one thing it overlooks the food eaten by the jets...) the farmer is way outproducing.

Yeah, but if you are going to count the expenses of the indy country like that, then you also need to count that of the farmer.

And again, I think the farmer isn't anywhere close to $35 PM price even and has another day needed to tech up instead of stocking.

BobbyATA Game profile

I don't understand. The indy gets the jets at the end of the turn. The farmer doesn't actually convert the food into the jets until the last day of the reset. So I only have to count the extra expenses for the indy.

Xinhuan Game profile

Also, don't forget the indy is currently 11m NW higher than the farmer, so the indy already has a 11m NW advantage even if they were both equal in production.

And I still think the indy country has stored turns while the farmer probably doesn't.

are we agreed now?

Anyways, about the order of the top 5 and such, here you could very well be correct. I've been too small (literally...stupid hums)/busy to spy on my friends at the top. It could be you are correct the indy is storing turns and the farmer still needs to tech up.

If I had to guess I wouldn't think the indy stored turns however, and with the building cost bonus and so many days of $70 food, even with such rapid growth in land I'd think the farmer would already be into stocking. If you are correct on where they currently are in terms of stocking/turns on hand then yes I think the indy will finish handily ahead.

I'll PM you another comment, I don't want to say too much on public forums

Speaking in regards to my country I have no stored turns. Well perhaps 40 or so total. I tried a new approach to my end game and I will see if it works compared to last reset. Last reset had turns no stock this reset no turns but I have stock at this exact point.

I'll applaud you if you managed to buy enough $37 food for the remainder food expenses in the reset lol.

You did say you bought A LOT of $37 food right (I had assumed it was enough for most of the remainder of the reset)? :P

130m or more for t10?

Maybe 3-4 countries might finish above 130m.

Really? So many huge countries. I haven't tried calculating, but just looking at them it's pretty impressive. Maybe you're right though, cashers and indies had it rough with tech, and food... Although land came quickly. And it's a short month too.

Yeah, imagine buying for $70 bushels and then selling for $40. That's a 49.3% loss if you aren't a demo or 42.9% if you are one. Stocking $20b worth and then only ending up with $11.4b, that's gotta hurt.

Maybe techers should just go corruption bonuses to avoid getting screwed.

Maybe the amount of tech points produced by techers on solo servers should be decreased by half (half the TPT formula) in order to encourage more people to play techers.

Corruption bonus sound like something that might work. Buy bushels till you have full resource decay. Sell off without losing any % of stock worth when selling off when bushels are still high and then just keep cash.

The only thing is, if food remains cheap, then the techers who took turns will finish ahead. Having said that, looking at recent sets - food will always spike

If i ever decide to tech again i will try corruption bonus

OneMansArmy Game profile

Problem I feel is teachers are the cause for both the rise and fall of the food market. If they just went corruption bonus, I wonder if prices would ever rise high enough for it to be worth it.

corruption bonus for techers sure makes a lot of sense to me. When the bonuses were first introduced I think that was the strat in alliance server at least that was supposed to go corruption bonus.

You gotta be sure you can get the bonus points every24 hours if you go corruption bonus tho, and that can be a bit tricky

Xinhuan Game profile

You forgot that corruption used to be completed to 100% way faster than now. Nowadays, you can barely complete it in 46 or so days, maybe 50 days with a govt switch, and it's mostly not very useful because food peaks way before that.

Yeah but you can just suffer through the corruption if you've reduced it by like 80% without losing that much probably..

can't be only 2 CIs. I may not no much about the cashers, farmers, techers, but the 3 top CIs were all roughly equal (Quarantine ahead but only by ~10M?)

2 CIs is probably about right. Herbs and Serp's countries that is.

Afaik had his commie stolen tech by Gogy everyday (posted on B&S forum), so unless that stopped, its going to be an uphill battle for t10.

ah didn't know afaik had tech stolen so much.

Still he hit 66M 3 days ago. I would assume when he did he had roughly 2 B on hand, altho possibly no food stock. But even with no food stock that would seem like enough to t10.

herbs , if you are really going to miss the last few days where it is simply cashing, you should find someone who knows earth and isn't currently playing to play your turns. Or train a friend on how to hit the cash button for a few days. yes this is technically cheating, but I really hope nobody cares.
