If I were him, I would retal the lowest networth first, him hitting #106 doesnt get good gains because of his networth match of 65% only.

I was thinking he wants to smack the bigger guys back first before they have a chance to outgrow him. Also to make the retals within a 72 hour period since some top countries may enforce this rule and have the means to do so. The lower networth country is really a target anytime he wants it, he can get that.

They got a bit greedy with their grabs I think, hitting above 1/3rd of their own networth. As someone else noted, once one of the top CI's hit a guy, the others tend to follow up with their own hits on the same target shortly after. Guess #106's target selection wasn't as perfect as we thought. lol

Looks like NGC 224 is just going in order of who hit him. All Bobby's turret pumping and alliance swapping goes for naught.

The thing is when everyone hit him he was only 4.8m net and he jumped to 6.5m the very next day. I guess no one factored in how easy that kind of jump was for him. 15k acres * 5.3 food/acre * 1.15 fascist bonus * 2 tech * 60 turns = 11m bushels. 11m * 38 * .94 = $393m. $393m / 130 * .94 = 2.85m jets in a day, just like that. 2.85m jets = 1.7m net = exactly the jump he took to make the retals.

Seth, you're right about what you say, but some people don't give a crap - they're willing to do something much more expensive (ROR) to enforce their policy. Maybe they'll get away with it, or teach someone a lesson, or something...

Rockman isn't exactly wrong either, but he's just talking about game mechanics, how ABs don't work on Primary (not enough turns to ramp up damages) and spies are so hard to stop.

If a guy with 40k building RoRed me, I could bomb buildings 20X/day and take out 5k+/day along with csites.

It would be so much more effective than abing. And I can pump missles at the same time and casually shoot them off.

For the 40k to block the spy ops, he has to pump spies, as obviously its 10x easier to have a high spal on lower than higher land... so once again, making it 10x more expensive to take the RoR or grab someone a second time.

Anyways my point is simply, anyone who thinks they can enforce anything regarding an initial retal or retal window is out of their mind.

Depends on your definition of enforcement... they can enforce it, maybe to their own detriment, but they can enforce it if they want to by RORing and fighting a war if someone retals outside of their timetable. That's enforcement.

Oh this should be a fun week for me then, because I have a few T10 retals to take that arent necessarily in a 72 hr window. And I will be more than happy to ruin anyone for a month that thinks they can RoR with the current GDI policies.

I'm playing Primary for the first time in 14 or 15 years, and I have a feeling some big commies may be in for a rude awakening ;)

Why nuke? I think Bomb Buildings would yield between 300-400/ successful op against 40k acres if the spyer has at least half

Nuking increases their spal making it easier for them to prevent it.

There's no way a commie can afford to rebuild day after day while military prices tank.

Still dumb though, cos who are you really teaching a lesson? Unless you are serp or gogy, next set both players are probably using different names. There might be a feeling of a lesson taught, but I guarantee you there is no lesson learned. So, that enforcement policy is retarded.

Another example is gogy tried to enforce his policy last set and this set he is the one that changed country names and is in hiding, so he effectively taught himself a lesson. Whether he has learned from it is another question.

Is it worth it for a techer to fall a day behind in land because he cant spend turns due to high food prices. Or should a techer bite the bullet and buy just enough $200 food to make some grabs?
