In fairness, I’d very much not like to repeat Somalia and interfere in a democratic election. I know this sounds crazy, but I tend to support the results of elections and not support those who protest them. I consider that pretty anti-democratic, and we’re all familiar with my thoughts on Jan 6. It’s a bad look. Same feelings with Trumps post inauguration protests when everyone who wrote in Bernie and allowed Trump to win got mad and protested a boomer real estate mogul sexual deviant to run the country. Trying to stop democracy is yuk. Like, you can protest the guy but protesting the voting is bad bad. You look stupid doing that. When voters speak, for better or worse, you gotta respect it if you expect to sustain a real democratic society.

I have fond feelings about overthrowing a govt, protesting an govt, etc. I think it creates counterpoints and legislation that responds. On the same hand I have kind of very non-fond feelings about overthrowing an election result. If you lose an election and like try to blow up buildings because you lost legitimately….idk.

I think timing is important and I don’t necessarily support folks denying an election result either. I think context is important and I don’t support folks generally denying their elections. So I’m like pro-Thailand independence. I’m just not pro-Thailand rejecting a democratic election result and I think that’s what that old man is tryna say.

Also, I’ll throw a hard take in. Now that there is 10,000 bots it’s sorta unnecessary for them to ally. Essentially the only benefits are inflating the military market which is actually bad imo, and allowing netters to unnaturally inflate their finishes if they send alliance requests quickly enough to have free tech leaches all set.

It’s extremely niche, unnecessary and supports only those who are in the know and push the right buttons fast enough. In other words, I think it’s terrible for generating newcomers who wanna compete with old heads. Case and point, this post.

I know that’s an unpopular opinion but it’s also a correct one for creating parity, and I understand this is a game where people figure fluff out out and keep it secret. This particular secret tho, directly benefits older players and directly hurts newer ones. I think it’s easily a terrible thing.

Yes and no, but the short answer is you do lose market dropping land. There’s a destock method called hybrid which combines both oil destocking with private markets and it does require max tech. Essentially, think of there being a “max” amount of military on your private market per acre. It will drop to that max.

Your example of 1m turrets, 1m troops and 500k turrets, assuming no tech would take around 5.6m jets to break with allies doubling the break and a hair over 10% for pang bounce.

I think you said 2.6 and 2.7 didn’t break which is why people are confused. In your example the break isn’t doubled for allies.

Kinda surprised people do ops on bots still. If you bounce 100 hits in a set making educated guesses on breaks (I.e when 4m fails up break to 5m), you’re probably still more efficient than opping all your targets, carrying spies etc.

It’s not like the bots get mad if you bounce here and there. Send 1m until 1m doesn’t work and then send 2. It’s pretty simple.

Also, re: losses on bounces, the closer you are to breaking a target the higher losses the defended will take. You’re likely losing 3:1 because you only sent around half what you need to. It takes about 50 hits at 1/6 break (just above generals stopping attack) to cut a break in half. That’s equal to about 9 hits at just barely not breaking and about 11 hits breaking. Also, bots carry medical tech which lowers their losses. Hope this helps!

Yeah I did some rep cashers on FFA as well but hybrid destocked them all. I think set 67 I did over a billion avg nw and at the time they were some of the better cashers that didn’t get fed. I wanna say enshula went a little higher in set 62 or so, but I’m not sure if he destocked as a no feeder casher tho. Maybe worth looking into but his profile from that era is private so would need to really go fish. These are my personal best for cashers without helpers on FFA, all destocked as Theo tho:

I wanna say ensh was first to do a billion avg on the server and I was 2nd with the max 16 countries and we both used cashers to balance our FFO oil output. FFO strings during wars have gone higher since, but I’m p sure at the time he was the casher GOAT. Pretty sure he did north of 21b with cashers in his string (I barely ever broke 18). Used to be a ton of records I was 2nd place to only him in FFA.

I know that’s not destocked as rep nor is it 1a, but just historically I remember that era having some casher records on FFA. Ensh’s record (at the time, I haven’t played in a minute so it could be broken now) wouldda been a handful of sets earlier.

And by 10% he of course means 2x break plus ten percent because the robots are programmed to make friends. Something us humans are far less capable of.

IRC is broke rn, and qz is actually in process of fixes as opposed to the preceding 3 years that it’s been broke with no one fixing it. Should be working again soon, however, people you’re used to finding there are on irc.scourge.se in the channels you’re used to seeing. They won’t ask scourge for help with the game, but he runs the servers these days and honestly they were always a hair faster. You’ll find elderswar and mercswar (mercs is successor to elders, DD runs it) there.

Also, discord doesn’t let bots update in real time without cooking, so discord can never sustain a war chat, however, MOST of the community is on discord now and primarily uses IRC just for hilites and warchats. They go quiet after kills these days.

My only form of protest re:clanGDI was to stop paying for Premium which I’d maintained despite the fact that I didn’t play because I’d always been willing to donate to the game. I never quit playing because I was butthurt or something.

What makes bots doing it to you you ok and humans doing it to you not ok? I feel like this supports the minority meta of netting and I tend to be opposed to those changes.

I’m obviously open minded, as you know, and am very open to being told I’m wrong on this, but don’t you think in some ways this is essentially replacing humans who want to war and have been ridiculed and eliminated from the game with bots that essentially do the same thing? After I get done decorating one of the bars I start decorating another and my home never gets any love. I feel like my Mulled Wine game definitely peaked this year and I enjoy the seasonal beverages this time of the year most. As a professional alcoholic, I’m a fan of the season.

I don’t live with family tho so we all leave for the holidays so it makes a bit of sense that way. Sucks they scheduled an Eagles game for Christmas Day this year tho.
