Sad you are too dumb to realize that is a ding on Carl and not you :( the forum in which Carl was presenting his opinions was also responsible for shaping the last election in favor of Hilary Clinton. Go ahead and disagree with that... I dare you!

Is it like the difference between ACORN registering people to vote from a phone book and forging their signatures vs A Black Panther Standing directly outside a polling station with a billy club to make sure people of one party don't vote?

To those that want to dig deeper and not retreat into childish name calling to cover their own deficiencies..

We have a problem in the White House. Just a few examples:

The Wall.
What a surprise. Mexico isn't going to voluntarily fund Trump's wall.
So it'll be the American taxpayer that initially pays for this boondoggle.

And what is the plan being floated on how to force the money from Mexico later?
Slap a 20% import tax on anything imported to the US from Mexico.
Genius.
So, it's American consumers and industries, purchasing imports from Mexico, that get to pay for the stupid wall a second time.

The.Art.Of.The.Deal. What a joke. Championed by Trump as HIS book, he describes it as "one of the greatest books ever written" but it was not written by him. It's a book ghost-authored by Tony Schwartz with Trump's name plastered on the cover. Sound familiar?
--“The Art of the Deal” made America see Trump as a charmer with an unfailing knack for business. Tony Schwartz helped create that myth—and regrets it.
http://www.newyorker.com/...mps-ghostwriter-tells-all
--If he were writing “The Art of the Deal” today, Schwartz said, it would be a very different book with a very different title. Asked what he would call it, he answered, “The Sociopath.”

But no worries.
I'm sure Trump had us little people in mind when after winning the electoral vote he went out to meet some friends at a local burger joint (ha):
http://www.bbc.com/.../world-us-canada-38003747
I never have, and never will, pay $36 for a burger or $10 for a side of fries. But Trump's buddies at that (ha) burger joint do, likely while complaining about the taxes they pay back to a country that made their wealth possible.

According to the Tax Policy Center, the totality of the Trump plan will reduce federal tax revenue by $6.2 trillion over the next ten years. Of those tax cuts, nearly 47% will go to the richest 1%. To put it into dollar terms, those earning less than $48,400 will experience an annual tax cut of less than $400, while those earning in excess of $700,000 will walk away with an average of an extra $215,000 per year.

In an interview with MSNBC on the same day, he said: "Let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all."
Yup. Trump has lots of plans for your tax dollars.

Mikhail Gorbachev, who detailed his own efforts at denuclearisation during the dying days of the Cold War in the 1980s, issued a stark warning of a world where weapons of mass destruction were becoming cheaper and more readily available.
“Money is easily found for sophisticated weapons whose destructive power is comparable to that of the weapons of mass destruction; for submarines whose single salvo is capable of devastating half a continent; for missile defence systems that undermine strategic stability,” he wrote. "It all looks as if the world is preparing for war,"
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/...ng-war-nuclear-threat-re/

I'm not crazy about the idea of a President Pence, but I would gladly accept it now that Trump is in the Oval Office. I would think it's becoming obvious even to some Trump voters that this President is not emotionally or mentally fit for his new job and we need to get him outta there.

I am hoping that VP Pence does his job and questions the stability of our President, and that the leaders of Congress do what the Electoral College was designed to do but failed to act on when they were the ones to actually vote for President & VP last December 19 - keep a nutcase out of the White House.
--As Alexander Hamilton writes in “The Federalist Papers,” the Constitution is designed to ensure “that the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.” The point of the Electoral College is to preserve “the sense of the people,” while at the same time ensuring that a president is chosen “by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice.”

I would have no problem with considering this if we had a system where we can prove identity and citizenship prior to voting.

It will never happen though because of the power given to the states by the constitution.

These threads are filled to capacity with hypocrites - a whole bunch of people, both on the left and the right, all up in arms about what Trump did/Obama did/George W. did/Clinton did/etc - but NONE of you give a fluff or get up in arms when your guy does it. I can say with 100% certainty that every complaint I hear about Trump, I've heard a dozen times about all the other guys.
The fact is, NONE of those politicians are any more subjective than any of you are. They are out for their own interests just like everyone here is. The real problem is no one cares to own their fluff - not the politicians and not the people fighting here - and no one REALLY cares about the guy on the other side of the debate. Me me me, mine mine mine. The US is eating itself because we've been dumbed down and turned on one another; this thread is a great example. I believe the government class revels in this discord as it keeps us focused on each other under the guise of being focused on the politicians.
Keep up the good work, tearing each other down =) I know I will

damondusk... you got a good point. how can we fix that? Does it start with holding the media more accountable? Keep our lawmakers and politicians more accountable? Is this social media's fault for exacerbating the already polarized American politick?

People can't help themselves. When they find something that they agree with they gravitate towards it and find a like minded community to back them up. It gives them license to act a certain way or spew vitriol because the lines between lies and facts are so blurred and convoluted that we can believe 2+2=5 if it is said enough. Neither side is more guilty than the other... the real victim is the middle/lower class who is too distracted by clickbait to realize what is happening to him.

Will all the screaming babies please calm down? I know that you are all desiring of having your own personal attention paid to you, but, here's the bottom line.

What we are witnessing, is the rise of the "Daycare Generation". All these screaming, tantruming liberals were all put into daycare rather than being raised by their own mother/father/parents. Thus, they learned at an early age that the toddler that screams the loudest, or breaks the most stuff, gets the attention of the harried daycare worker who has no real interest in the welfare of those toddlers and was merely there to make a buck.

Any discussion of this point?

Children, go to your room. As for the original question, the week isn't over yet and this guy is not wasting a minute of it.

I feel bad for you because you probably remember the days when CNN was still credible. The thing is, they underwent a massive restructuring and now CNN doesn't try to be accurate, they try to be relavent. They do so by evoking fear to the masses. They found out in 2001 that fear sells and had hugely declining ratings for year after that fear went away. A decade later they were faced with a choice, continue to have journaistic integrity or make money. You can guess what they chose.

Don't believe anything that doesn't come directly from the source anymore. If someone on CNN tells you that "people" in the Republican party or "people" in the intelligence community are saying things, that should be a HUUUUUUUUGE red flag for you. If your kid fails to bring home a report card with proof of his grades, you don't believe him if he says "people" are saying he got straight A's. No names, no source, no credibility. Using the word "people" allows them to blatantly lie and not be sued.
