Like as a casher or farmer or industrialist, how much tech should I be getting? Since this is such a fast paced game I feel like investing less in tech makes sense? What % of max do you recommend?

Yeah there are occasional spikes but given how low on money I am I can't even afford to have unsold stuff sitting > $100.

I think the strategy is just to be land fat. This server seems to be particularly lenient on land fat individuals so long as you're tagged. The traditional benchmarks of NW/land don't really hold up here.

I was scanning for targets and found a juicy one. I almost multitapped a human yesterday but in the process of spying I noticed it was a feisty human. Otherwise I would've probably had my set ruined like this other dude:

That seemed to be the first conflict yesterday and then a few others erupted like:

LooseCannonWobleWoblePewPew (#118) vs. Adrenaline (#24) and
Lazy Netter (#116) vs. Recrudescence (#113)

I find it funny people take grabs so seriously and will go out of their way to waste a whole set screwing people over.

Edit: On second thought since the resets are weekly, I suppose it's not that big of a loss to go out swinging this set and wait for the next set.

How many legit countries trying to max out do you run? Do you run retal/spy/missile countries?

I wonder if running 8 countries as nuisance countries is good. This is fun because that's how I used to play Primary back in Earth 2025. I'd run maybe 3-4 countries trying different strats (TTR, CI, Farmer, etc.) and then 1 small country each to back them up with spy/pestering needs.

Surprisingly I only got deleted once.

^ IF you just want to hit bots, why not play this game in single player mode? Just run a simulator or something? The multiplayer factor goes out the door if you expect to be able to farm unopposed.

Is there an RNG or is it as long as you have > than your opponent's defenses you win? (i.e. 101 jets vs 100 turrets).

Sorry if this is a noobish question, but I haven't played this game since 2005 and I forget the mechanics entirely. I'd like to minimize my casualties by not oversending.

Yeah definitely the ones getting farmed like mad are bots... lol. If I got farmed like that I'd start a multi empire and AB you to death.

Few things...if you're newb you can generally get an idea by checking news and seeing them be farmed without retalling(most humans would go ape with this kind of abuse).

Also, bots are programmed to be around 240 CS...you'll start to recognize this if you look for it. It may be a few CS's under if they've been hit.

Bots have a high Turns Used because they run frequently on express. Bots don't sit on 300 turns...that's someone playing lazy, playing a late start, or waiting for some doofus to landgrab them for low land so they can retal later for more(ol' bait trick, and trump loves to fish :D)

Bots don't get tech outside of business/residential/military/their strat tech. So if you see things like weapons, warfare, etc. it's a clue they're not a bot.

Makes sense. I haven't played this game since 2004? Or back when it was Swirve. Not sure if bots were a thing but with so many people back then I suppose it wasn't an issue.
